In her lifetime, she became that rare thing &#8211; a celebrity scientist, attracting the attention of the news cameras and tabloid gossip. They were fascinated because she was the first woman to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nobelprize.org\/prizes\/physics\/1903\/marie-curie\/facts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">win the Nobel Prize<\/a> and is still the only person to have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nobelprize.org\/prizes\/chemistry\/1911\/marie-curie\/facts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">won two Nobels<\/a> in two different sciences.
