\"\"<\/a>November 2016 marked the 300th anniversary of the death of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz<\/a>. He was a philosopher, mathematician, historian, diplomat, lawyer and much more besides. Leibniz ranks as the last universal genius. His discoveries and revolutionization of the number system first made computers, the Internet and social networks at all possible.<\/p>\n

A major part of his heritage may be found in Hanover, where Leibniz worked for 40 years as a librarian and counsellor at the court of the duke. Leibniz wrote so much during his life that only part of a total of 200,000 pages have so far been classified and published. It is estimated that it will take until 2055 before all of his work is edited.<\/p>\n

The documentary portrays the genius Leibniz in his time and repeatedly transports him to the present. Different persons whose work would be inconceivable without Leibniz express their views in the documentary.<\/p>\n
