Maré
Funções seno, co-seno e tangente: Infinito 12 A - Parte 3 Pág. 127 Ex. 5
$$M(t) = 4,5\operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) + 7,5$$
com $t$ em horas e $M$ em metros.
- Qual o valor (exato) de $M$ às 2 horas da manhã?
- Entre que valores variou $M$ nesse dia?
- A que horas ocorreu nesse dia a baixa-mar? E a preia-mar?
- Apresente um valor, aproximado às centésimas, da velocidade (em metros por hora) da subida do nível da água ao meio-dia.
A expressão abaixo representa a variação $M$ da maré na baixa de Boston, desde as 0 às 24 horas de um determinado dia:
$$M(t) = 4,5\operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) + 7,5$$
com $t$ em horas e $M$ em metros.
- Às 2 horas da manhã desse dia, em metros, o valor de $M$ é: $$\begin{array}{*{20}{l}}
{M(2)}& = &{4,5\operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6} \times 2 – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) + 7,5} \\
{}& = &{4,5\operatorname{sen} \left( { – \frac{{4\pi }}{3}} \right) + 7,5} \\
{}& = &{4,5 \times \frac{{\sqrt 3 }}{2} + 7,5} \\
{}& = &{2,25\sqrt 3 + 7,5}
\end{array}$$
- Ora,
$$\begin{array}{*{20}{l}}
{\operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}\left( {t + T} \right) – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) = \operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right)}& \Leftrightarrow &{\operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}t + \frac{\pi }{6}T – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) = \operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right)} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{\frac{\pi }{6}T = 2k\pi ,k \in \mathbb{Z}} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{T = 12k,k \in \mathbb{Z}}
\end{array}$$Portanto, o período positivo mínimo da função $M$ é $T = 12$ horas.
Daí, no intervalo $\left[ {0,24} \right]$, a função $M$ alcançou os seguintes valores mínimo e máximo, respetivamente: ${M_{mín}} = 4,5 \times ( – 1) + 7,5 = 3$ e ${M_{máx}} = 4,5 \times 1 + 7,5 = 12$, em metros.
Portanto, nesse dia, $3 \leqslant M \leqslant 12$, em metros.
- Como $$\begin{array}{*{20}{l}}
{M(t) = 3 \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]}& \Leftrightarrow &{\operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) = – 1 \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3} = \frac{{3\pi }}{2} + 2k\pi ,k \in \mathbb{Z} \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{\frac{t}{6} – \frac{5}{3} = \frac{3}{2} + 2k,k \in \mathbb{Z} \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{t = 19 + 12k,k \in \mathbb{Z} \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{\begin{array}{*{20}{l}}
{t = 7}& \vee &{t = 19}
\end{array}}
\end{array}$$
a baixa-mar ocorreu às 7 é às 19 horas desse dia.Como $$\begin{array}{*{20}{l}}
{M(t) = 12 \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]}& \Leftrightarrow &{\operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) = 1 \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3} = \frac{\pi }{2} + 2k\pi ,k \in \mathbb{Z} \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{\frac{t}{6} – \frac{5}{3} = \frac{1}{2} + 2k,k \in \mathbb{Z} \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{t = 13 + 12k,k \in \mathbb{Z} \wedge t \in \left[ {0,24} \right]} \\
{}& \Leftrightarrow &{\begin{array}{*{20}{l}}
{t = 1}& \vee &{t = 13}
\end{array}}
\end{array}$$
a preia-mar ocorreu à 1 e às 13 horas desse dia.
- Como \[\begin{array}{*{20}{l}}
{M’\left( t \right)}& = &{{{\left( {4,5\operatorname{sen} \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) + 7,5} \right)}^\prime }} \\
{}& = &{4,5 \times \frac{\pi }{6}\cos \left( {\frac{\pi }{6}t – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right)}
\end{array}\]
então $$M'(12) = 4,5 \times \frac{\pi }{6}\cos \left( {\frac{\pi }{6} \times 12 – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) = 4,5 \times \frac{\pi }{6}\cos \left( { – \frac{{5\pi }}{3}} \right) = 4,5 \times \frac{\pi }{6} \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{{3\pi }}{8} \approx 1,18$$
Portanto, a velocidade da subida do nível da água ao meio-dia era de 1,18 m/h, aproximadamente.
